Schweitzer, Jason C.,Schweitzer, Jason C., 37, passed away suddenly on Saturday October 29, 2016. Jason was born on August 1, 1979 to Stephen and Carol Schweitzer. Jason received a B.S. in Criminal Justice from the University of Louisville. He served as a detective with the Louisville Metro Police Department in the 6th Division. Jason was a member of St. Michael Catholic Church, St. Michael Knights of Columbus Council 15525, Vice President of F.O.P. Lodge 614, a supervisor at Jefferson County Federal Credit Union and an avid University of Louisville fan. Most of all Jason was an amazing husband, father, son and brother. He was always fun, full of life, a friend to all and he never met a stranger.Jason was preceded in death by his grandparents Paul and Mary Lee Schweitzer and Kelly and Annie Polito.Jason is survived by his wife Jessica; his daughter Avery Elizabeth; his son Jackson Charles who will be born in March; his parents Steve and Carol Schweitzer; his brother Keith (Michelle); and his nieces Ashley and Lauren and his nephew Adam.Funeral mass will be held on Wednesday, November 2, 2016, at St. Michael Catholic Church, 3705 Stone Lakes Drive, at 1:00 pm. Burial will follow at Cave Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be on Tuesday November 1, 2016, at Ratterman Funeral Home, 12900 Shelbyville Road, East Louisville, from 1:00 to 8:00 pm; and at the church on Wednesday from 12:00 to service time.
