BlankenshipAttica - Jason Kyle Blankenship, 40, of Attica died on Wednesday, September 23, 2015 at 10:31 p.m. at the St. Elizabeth East Hospital, Lafayette.Jason was born on September 11, 1975 in Lafayette. He was the son of Robert Reed Blankenship, of Attica and the late Hope Evon (Sundt) Blankenship. He was a life resident of Attica and graduated from Attica High School in 1995.Jason had worked for Harrison Steel Castings Co. in Attica for 10 years before he became ill. He loved the outdoors and enjoyed hunting, fishing, going mudding and riding 4-wheelers.Surviving along with his father, Reed Blankenship of Attica, are a companion, Josie Stout of Attica; a son, Austin A. Blankenship of Attica; a brother, Jenner Blankenship of Attica; and two sisters, Jill (husband-George) Hall and Joy Blankenship, both of Attica; several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his niece, Heather Brown.Visitation will be held at the Maus Funeral Home, Attica, on Monday, September 28, from 11:00 a.m. until the service time of 2:00 p.m. with Rev. Jerry Badgley officiating. Burial will follow in the Riverside Cemetery, Attica. Contributions may be made to the or the National Kidney Fund. Condolences may be sent online at mausfuneralhome.com.
