Jason Robert Flood, 18, of Derry, NH passed away Sunday November 20, 2016. He was born on March 5, 1998 in Beverly MA, the only son of Douglas and Danielle Flood and brother of Malarie. Jason graduated from Pinkerton Academy in 2016 and was a member of the National Technical Honor Society, JV soccer team and Pinkerton Chorale. Jason started working the day after graduation in the warehouse for Monkey Sports and was looking forward to a new career with a steel design company using the CAD skills he acquired at Pinkerton Academy. Jason was part of many sports teams including the Derry Eagles and PAJV soccer, Hood Middle School track, Derry Little League and Jimmy Fund Baseball, and Merrimack Valley Hockeys Blizzard. Jason also loved music and performing, whether it be at the Coffee Factorys open mic night, Pinkerton Academy Chorale with NH Philharmonic, and Pinkertons performance of Beauty and the Beast. Affectionately known as Floody by his close friends he helped form many a garage band MKAO, Gundrum, and Floody and the BPs. He was proud to perform at Canobie Lake Parks Battle of the Bands, Tupelo Hall, and most recently a charity fundraiser at Fuscofest. Jason was a very caring and sensitive person who was always ready to cheer you up with his quick wit, infectious smile, and a great big hug. In addition to his parents and sister; he is survived by his grandparents, Diane McCarthy and the late Chick McCarthy of Melrose, MA, Tom and Diane Flood of Strafford, NH; his uncles and aunts, Sean and Missy McCarthy of Marlborough, MA, Greg and Michele Duggan of Pelham, NH; and cousins Thomas, Averie, Meredith, and Owen. Calling hours were held on Friday, November 25th from 4 | 8pm in the Peabody Funeral Homes and Crematorium, 290 Mammoth Rd., Londonderry. A funeral service was held on Saturday at 10:00am in the funeral home. The burial will follow in the Forest Hill Cemetery in E. Derry.
