Jay Gatsby of West Egg, New York, was found dead in his pool at his Long Island estate. Gatsby was born with the name Jay Gatz in North Dakota in 1895. He attended then dropped out of St. Olaf's College and later moved east and changed his name. He served in the WWI as First Lieutenant. He later attended Oxford College. He also was an assistant to and good friend of millionaire Dan Cody. In life, Gatsby was a famous man for the huge, extravagant parties he threw. Gatsby was very high on the social ladder.
