Jay Hamilton ScottMalibu, CaliforniaJay Hamilton Scott, 60, of Malibu, California, died on July 15, 2017, at his home in Malibu. He was born on Dec. 12, 1956, in San Angelo, Texas, to his late parents, Hamilton McKinnon Scott and Margret June Caruthers Scott of Big Lake, Texas.Jay graduated from Reagan County High School in Big Lake, Texas in 1975 and went on to attend college at Tarleton State University, where he was an active member of the rodeo team. Jay was a cowboy by trade and heart. He enjoyed training horses throughout his life in Texas, Montana, Wyoming and California.Jay is survived by daughter, Nicole Scott Perkins and husband Seth, Loveland, Colorado; son Ben Riley Scott and wife Kylie, Lingle, Wyoming; three granddaughters Alex, Claire and Gwen Perkins; sister Cindy Scott Baize of San Angelo, Texas; nephew Casey Scott Baize and wife Rachel and their three children of San Angelo; niece Samantha Baize Creamer and husband Phillip and their two children of Nashville, Tennessee; and many cousins and friends.Services for Jay are pending.
