Jay Eldorus Loveland, 87, of Twin Groves, died Thursday, Oct. 20, 2016, at his home.He was born on July 22, 1929, in St. Anthony, Idaho, to Charles Bertrum and Vera Jane Davis Loveland.Jay graduated from South Fremont High School and was Golden Glove boxing champion. He attended Ricks College (now Brigham Young University–Idaho). He was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and served with the Boy Scouts for many years.He served in the
Korean War as part of the 116th Engineer Combat Battalion. He received the Korean War Medal and
Bronze Star.He married Shirley Ruth Brandley on June 10, 1952. They were later divorced. He married Helen Ardis Pitman Bradshaw on Nov. 1, 1963, in St. Anthony.He was a lifelong dairy farmer.Camping with his girls and hunting and fishing with his wife and children were some of his most enjoyable pastimes.He is survived by children, Brenda Kay Bradshaw (James Howard) Martin, of Magnolia, AL; Susan Elaine Bradshaw (James Herbert) Chase, of St. Anthony, ID; Lora Lee Bradshaw, of St. Anthony, ID; Valerie Jean Bradshaw (Phillip W.) Baker, of Teton, ID; Cherie Ann Loveland (Randy) Flick, of West Valley, UT; Shauna Rae Bradshaw (David) Raby, of Wallsburg, UT; Karen Sue Loveland (Gary) Weaver, of Magnolia, TX; Laurie Loveland (Lynn) Carlson, of St. Anthony, ID; Barbara Lynn Bradshaw (Randall) Morris, of Arimo, ID; and Michael Jay (Norese Parker) Loveland, of St. Anthony, ID; 63 grandchildren; 107 great grandchildren; and one great-great grandchild. He is also survived by a sister, Dorothy Dexter, of Rupert, ID, and a brother, Charles Loveland of Flagstaff, AZ. He was preceded in death by his wife Helen, his parents and two sisters.Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, Oct. 26, 2016, at 11 a.m. in the St. Anthony LDS Stake Center with Bishop Wade Geisler officiating. The family will receive friends on Wednesday from 10-10:45 a.m. prior to services. Burial will be in the Riverview Cemetery under the direction of Bert Flamm Mortuary.
