Soberg, Jean ArvillaJean Arvilla Soberg, 92, Rothschild, died Thursday, April 27, 2017 at Aspirus Hospice House, Wausau. Jean was born on November 19, 1924 to the late Carl and Helen (Andre) Retzlaff in Oconto, WI. She married Carl Soberg on June 3, 1950 in Chicago and he preceded her in death on August 30, 2010.After she and Carl were married they lived in Chicago for nearly two decades. Eventually they moved to Three Lakes WI where they opened, owned and operated Carl's Three Lakes TV for 25 years. Upon their retiring they moved to Rothschild to be closer to family. There, Jean became very active at her church and they continued to travel more together. Jean enjoyed bowling, golf, watching the Brewers but most of all, spending time with her family.She is survived by her daughter, Susan (George) Hiles, Wausau; her son, Steven Soberg, Weyauwega; six grandchildren, Melissa (Daniel) Flees, Jennifer Hiles, Laura (Armando) Morales, Mark Soberg, Katie (Richard) Baumler and Michael Loberger; three great-grandchildren, Madelyn and Elijah Flees, and Logan Morales; three step-greatgrandsons; sister, Shirley Retzlaff; son-in-law, Jerome Loberger; brother-in-law, Herbert (Vivian) Soberg; and many nieces and nephews. She was also preceded in death by her daughter, Cynthia Loberger; brother, Ron Retzlaff; sister, Marilyn and her husband, Glenn Snyder; niece/God-daughter, Rebecca Baranczyk; nephew, Tom Retzlaff and brother-in-law and his wife, Melvin and Dora Soberg. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, May 2, 2017 at Bethlehem Lutheran Church 1901 Kowalski Road, Kronenwetter. Rev. Frank Conner will officiate. Burial will be at Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Kronenwetter. Family and friends may call from 10:00 a.m. until the time of services on Tuesday.The family would like to especially thank the entire staff at Aspirus Hospice House for their care and kindness shown to Jean and her family.
