Lesperance, Jean C.Jean Carol Lesperance, age 90, a life long Two Rivers resident, died Sunday, August 6, 2017, at Aurora Medical Center, Two Rivers, following a brief illness.Jean was born on July 10, 1927 in Two Rivers, the daughter of the late Millard and Tillie (Rebarchek) Sharpe. She was a 1945 graduate of Washington High School. Jean married Donald V. (Frenchie) Lesperance on June 8, 1946 at St. Lukes Catholic Church in Two Rivers. Frenchie preceded her in death on November 26, 2013. Jean was a stay at home mom for 20 years. She went on to be a teacher's assistant at the Two Rivers Nursery School for 29 years. In addition, she worked 35 years at various Shop-n-Go and Uni Mart stores in Manitowoc and Two Rivers. Jean was a Girl Scout leader for 25 years. She was a member of the Two Rivers Senior Center and the Red Hatters from its inception where she served as Queen for 10 years. Jean was an avid reader. She belonged to two or three book clubs at the same time and was a reading buddy at Koenig School for 15 years and read to the 4-K children every month at the YMCA in Manitowoc. She was active in the Ladies of St. Peter the Fisherman and crocheted many prayer shawls over the years. Jean enjoyed traveling which included trips to England and Ireland, and flying to Atlanta every spring to spend Mothers Day with her two daughters.Jean is survived by one son and daughter-in-law: Dwight and Shirley Lesperance, Two Rivers; two daughters and one son-in-law: Colleen and John Gordon, Two Rivers, Pastor Mary Lesperance Held, Atlanta, GA.; five grandchildren: Craig Lesperance, Green Bay, Travis Lesperance, Manitowoc, Jeff (Brenda) Gordon, Two Rivers, Dayna (Brent) Skrivanie, Pewaukee, Carrie (Jason) Lambries, Two Rivers; ten great grandchildren: Nathan and Reagan Lesperance, Green Bay, Hannah Lesperance, Sheboygan, Justin and Zachary Gordon, Braidyn, Deegyn, Carsyn and Traetyn Lambries, Two Rivers, Isabella Skrivanie, Pewaukee; one spiritual daughter and close family friend, Monica Furrate, Alpharetta, GA. She was preceded in death by her husband, four sisters: Bernice (Ray Eis), (Harris) Gibeault, Colleen (Joe) Moravek, Marilyn (Donald) Kope, Marlene Glysch; one brother: Myrl Sharpe; and one sister-in-law: Gladys (Mike) Gutowski, Wausau.Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, August 10, 2017 at St Peter the Fisherman Catholic Church, Two Rivers. Officiating at the Mass of Christian Burial will be the Rev.
