Jean Marcantonio, 52, of Tarpon Springs, Florida, passed away peacefully, Wednesday, March 11, 2020, surrounded by her husband and four daughters. Jean was born to James Griffin and Argentina Veliz Beer on February 14, 1968 in Gloucester, Massachusetts.
Jean graduated from Gloucester High School in 1986 and received a nursing degree from Endicott College in 1997. She married Lawrence B. Marcantonio in 1988. They lived together in Gloucester until 2004 when they moved to Tarpon Springs. Jean worked as a Registered Nurse for the Pinellas County schools. She was a compassionate pediatric nurse. She made many great friends along the way and loved every minute of her work.
Jean loved spending time making beautiful memories with her family. Her pride and joy was being the best Lita (grandmother) to her three grandchildren whom she adored. Outside of spending time with her family and her work, Jean enjoyed gardening, painting rocks and traveling. One of Jean's favorite things was going to the beach to watch the sun set. She was a loving wife, mother, daughter and sister and will be greatly missed.
Jean is survived by her loving husband, Lawrence B. Marcantonio, her four daughters, Christina O'Maley, wife of Michael O'Maley, Emily Marcantonio, fiance of Kristopher Mehrling, Madison Marcantonio and Allie Jean Marcantonio. She is also survived by her three grandchildren, Ella Grace & Ralph Brian O'Maley and Eva Jean Falso, her four brothers, Ronnie, Michael and Richard Beer, and James Griffin Jr., her parents James and Barbara Griffin and Robert and Argentina Beer, along with many nieces, nephews, cousins, family and friends.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations to be made to Suncoast Hospice (SuncoastHospice.org), as their work is indispensable to many.
