On January 24, 2017, we lost our beloved wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. Jeane Buckley was born on July 8, 1924 in St. Louis, MO to Harry and Eleanor (Fetcher) Garey. She attended parochial schools and after high school graduation completed her education at Barnes Business School in St. Louis. Jeane married Lee Buckley on June 6, 1944 in St. Louis. They lived in Norfolk, NE following WWII and moved to Loveland, CO in 1950. She worked for Rocky Mountain Directory—Johnson Publishing Company for 29 years, retiring in 1984 as Corporate Secretary. Jeane was a devoted member of St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church in Loveland where she was a Eucharistic minister at McKee Hospital. She also worked with the newcomer's ministry at St. John's and was a member of the Catholic Council of Women. Her loves were her family and many friends, line dancing at the Chilson Center, reading and of course her bridge clubs. She even won high at her last club meeting in December. She loved to cook especially her "Pig Lickin' Cake" and really enjoyed bingo and trips to Blackhawk. They built a cabin on Shagwa Lake at Red Feather Lakes and enjoyed many weekends fishing, playing bridge and their family. After they retired they became snowbirds and enjoyed 17 wonderful winters in the Phoenix, AZ area. Jeane is survived by Lee, her husband of 72 years, her daughters Carole Cox Anderson and Nancy (Jeff) Siler, her granddaughter Allison Cox and great grandson Tristan Lee Cox all of Loveland and numerous nieces and nephews in MO, OK, NE, AZ and CA.
