FREMONT — Jeanette L. Dirr, age 69, of Fremont, Indiana, passed away Wednesday, November 2, 2016, at her residence, with her family by her side. She was born on August 3, 1947 in (Ray) Fremont, Indiana, to Weir and Doris (Mingus) Vaughn. They preceded her in death. She attended school in Ray and Fremont, Indiana. Jeanette married Richard Dirr on June 10, 1972 in Ray, Indiana, and he survives. She retired after many years of service, working for Cameron Memorial Community Hospital, Bryan Community Hospital, and Montpelier Community Hospital. She liked to play the piano, enjoyed watching western movies, especially John Wayne movies, plants and flowers, and loved animals, especially dogs. Spending time with her family was very important to her, and she enjoyed having all of her family together for Sunday dinners. Survivors include her husband, Richard Dirr of Fremont, Indiana; two daughters, Debbie (Scott) Turner of Douglasville, Georgia, and Candi (Donnie) Thompson of Hillsdale, Michigan; two sons, Corey Dirr and Rick Dirr, both of Clear Lake, Fremont, Indiana; grandchildren Brad, Brice, Brittany, Kaitlyn, Destini, Krista, Raiel, Jace, Tanner, Tarrah and Zane; great-grandchildren Bentley and Sophia; brothers William "Bill" (Sandy) Vaughn and Bob Vaughn, both of Fremont, Indiana; sisters-in-law Cathy Dirr of Angola, Indiana, Brenda (Larry) Nowak of Swanton, Ohio, Trudy (Charles) McElroy of Carthage, Texas, and Karen Stevens of Alma, Michigan; a brother-in-law, Larry (Sharon) Dirr of Montpelier, Ohio; and many nieces and nephews. She was also preceded in death by two sisters, Joan Burgess (1991) and Jean Prince (2008). Calling hours will held from 10 a.m. until 11 a.m. Saturday, November 5, 2016 at Beams Funeral Home, Fremont, Indiana. Funeral Services will follow the visitation at 11 a.m. Saturday, November 5, 2016 at Beams Funeral Home, Fremont, Indiana, with Rev. Darin Hendrey officiating. Burial will be at a later time.
