Jeanette Marilyn Lowman, 96, Minot, N.D., formerly of Rensselaer, passed away Saturday at a Minot nursing home.Jeanette was born on Nov. 25, 1917, in Morocco, the daughter of Charles and Wayne (McQuinn) Yates. She was reared and educated in Morocco where she graduated from high school and attended one year of Business College.Jeanette was united in marriage to Robert M. Lowman in 1939 in Indiana. Jeanette worked for Purdue University for a short time before becoming a stay at home Mom Caring for her two sons, Charles and Ronald. Robert passed away in 1986. Jeanette continued to live in Rensselaer until 2009 when she moved to Edgewood Vista in Minot to be closer to family.Jeanette was a member of the Order of Eastern Star and the United Methodist Church where she was involved in Rensselaer.Survivors are son, Ron (Connie) Lowman, Minot; nephew, Jim (Mary Jo) Berard, Arlington Heights, Ill.; grandchildren, C. Thomas (Kim) Lowman, Stacie (Jennings) Wallace, Josh (Thea) Lowman, Jethe(Brent) Lowman, Jim (Angie) Collins, Kathy (Nate) Oland, Kelly ( Todd ) Mertens and Kirk Lowman and his fiancé; Casey Mitchell; 23 great grandchildren; eight great-great grandchildren.She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert; son, Chuck; brothers, Carl and Albert Yates and sister, Unabelle Berard.Funeral Service was Thursday, Dec. 26, 2013, at 1 p.m. with visitation one hour prior at Thompson Larson Funeral Home, Minot, N.D.Interment took place at the Rosehill Memorial Park, Minot.
