Jeanne CoxRedding, CAIt is with a saddened heart that we announce the passing of our beloved mother, Jeanne Henriette Cox (90) April 2, 1926 - Feb. 13, 2017. Jeanne passed away peacefully in her sleep at home with family at her side.Jeanne Cox was born on April 2, 1926 in Paris, France, the daughter of Dr. Gastone and Louise Le Gentile. Her journey through life was fueled by her unconditional love of family and friends. She knew no strangers.The mother of seven children, that were blessed and proud to call her MOM, however she always fully accepted their friends as family. She was always ready to share her kindness and wisdom and was a "teacher to all". Those that knew her, knew of her insistence upon 'proper grammar'. You could always get a good rise out of her by stating "I aint got no". This was like fingers on the chalkboard to Jeanne.She was also loved by so many of her students, as she served for over 21 years at Parsons Elementary School as Teacher's Aide. She loved to keep her eyes and ears on local politics and the 'antics' of our elected officials in Washington, D.C. Jeanne is survived by her children, daughter Hanke deHaviland of VA, sons Mark Measles of Shingletown, CA, Eric (Kathy) Measles of Anderson, CA, Philip (Teryl) Andrews of Newberg, OR., and Richard Measles, of Redding, CA. Jeanne had two sons that preceded her in death, Martin Measles (Connecticut) and Fredrick Measles, (CO).Jeanne was very proud of her 12 Grandchildren and 10 Great Grandchildren. She is also preceded in death by her husbands, Warren Measles, Jack Shultz, and Albert Cox. The family would like to share their appreciation to Richard and Connie for their exceptional care, during their Mother's final days.Private services will be held in June along the Oregon Coast, fulfilling Jeanne's wishes to return to the waters along with her wonderful husband Al Cox.Please sign the guest book at
