HIGGINS Jeanne Margaret, 68, died on December 31, 2016 surrounded by family and friends. The cause of her death was complications from breast cancer. Jeanne was born on February 14, 1948 in Brooklyn, NY to Louis and Jean Esposito (Lotito). She moved to Hillsdale, NJ at the age of six and attended local schools, graduating from Pascack Valley RHS in 1965. Jeanne married Patrick Higgins in June, 1968. She attended Monclair State University and graduated from Hudson Valley CC with a degree in Early Childhood Education and a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration (magna cum laude) from the College of Saint Rose. Jeanne is survived by her husband, Patrick Higgins; mother, Jean Esposito; brothers Louis (Cindy) and Robert (Catherine); many nieces, a great niece, nephews and cousins who were all dear to her heart. Jeanne was a woman of immeasurable courage and love and a friend to all she met. She also was an accomplished businesswoman and educator. She owned her own business and was a member of the Junior League. Her hobbies were traveling with her husband, Pat, to places around the world. Jeanne was also a wonderful cook, baker and a member of several book clubs. Services will be held at 10 AM on Tuesday, January 17, 2017 at St. Andrew the Apostle Catholic Church, 3450 W.
