Jeannine E. HittleJeannine E. Hittle, age 86, of Huron, SD passed away on Monday, February 27, 2017 at SunQuest Healthcare Center in Huron. Her Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10:00 am on Friday, March 10, 2017 at Holy Trinity Catholic Parish in Huron with interment at Restlawn Memory Gardens Cemetery. Visitation with the family present will be from 5-7 pm on Thursday, March 9, 2017 followed by a scripture prayer service and rosary at 7pm at the Welter Funeral Home in Huron; or visitation one hour prior to the funeral mass at the church.Jeannine Elizabeth Hittle was born on October 18, 1930, to Jack and Betty (Kirsch) Reedy at Onida, SD. She attended school in Onida where she was active in band, basketball, cheerleading and other activities. She graduated from Onida High School in 1948. Following high school, she attended Mankato Business School in Mankato, Minnesota.Jeannine was united in marriage to Robert (Bob) Hittle on September 8, 1952 in Agar, SD. Jeannine and Bob made their home in Huron, SD, where she worked in various settings as a secretary. She retired from Dakota Energy in 2004. Jeannine enjoyed golfing, bowling, her grandchildren, partaking in activities at Holy Trinity Parish, and working at the St. Francis Shop. In 2012 Jeannine was selected the Irish Queen at the annual Holy Trinity St. Patrick's supper, an honor she cherished. In 2013 Jeannine became a resident of Avera Mother Joseph Manor in Aberdeen, SD. She returned to Huron in 2014 where she became a resident of SunQuest Healthcare Center.She is survived by her children Reed (JoAan) Hittle of Huron, Kevin (Kris) Hittle of Rapid City, Robyn (Gordy) Brower of Brandon, John Hittle of Brookings, and Michi Hittle of Austin, TX.; Grandchildren Ashley (Patrick) Schinzel, Michael Hittle, Collin Hittle, Jeremy Hittle, Ryan Brower, and Katlyn (Derek) Zacharias: Step-Granddaughters Jen (Wayne) Baumberger and Stephanie Johnson; Great Granddaughter, Piper Schinzel; and Step-Great Grandchildren, Angelea Baumberger, Kade Baumberger, and Julianne Johnson; her twin sister Jackie Marso of Pierre, sister-in-law Phyllis Perkins and brother-in-law Thomas (Sharon) Hittle and many nieces and nephews.Jeannine was preceded in death by her husband, Bob on April 5, 1995; her parents Jack and Betty Reedy; brothers-in-law Robert Marso, James (Grace) Hittle, and Gene Perkins.Visit
