DAYTON-Jeannine N. Gustin, 75, of Dayton, Maine, passed away on Wednesday, Nov. 16, 2016, at Gosnell Memorial Hospice House, after a short illness.
She was born on Aug. 7, 1941, in Rochester, New Hampshire, the daughter of Emile and Beatrice (Couture) Cote. She was educated at the St. Leo School in Gonic, New Hampshire. She married Donald Gustin in 1987.
Jeannine was a seamstress and worked throughout Rochester. One of the places she worked as a seamstress was the Feineman and Smiths Curtain Shops for 25 years.
She also worked at the Mayberry and Colby shoe shops in Gonic, New Hampshire, for 30 years.
In 1987, she moved to Dayton. She worked at Fiber Material, Rich's Department Store and ended her working career at Hannaford Supermarket in Saco, retiring in 2003.
She is a member of St. Philip's Church in Lyman and the Most Holy Rosary Church in Rochester.
She was preceded in death in 2001, by her husband of 14 years, Donald.
She is survived by: her daughter, Darcy Fournier-Couture and her husband, Steve Sadur of Apopka, Florida; her granddaughter, Courtney Couture; her sister, Lorraine Metivier and her husband, Robert, of Bradenton, Florida; and many nieces, nephews and cousins.
A memorial Mass will be celebrated 11 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 19, 2016, at St. Philip's Church, 404 Goodwins Mills Road, Lyman.
Arrangements are under the care of Cote Funeral Home, Saco.
