Jeffery Alan Wells was born on April 17th, 1960 in Danville, IL to Nu’man El-Amin and Joan Wells. Jeffery was a believer and accepted Christ. Jeffery grew up in Milwaukee, WI where he graduated from Rufus King High School. Standing 6’3’’, he excelled in basketball. He also played at the collegiate level for a short period.
Jeffery had two sons, Christopher Wells and Blake Comer. Jeffery held many jobs in his life from cook to warehouse clerk. In 1995, Jeffery relocated to Virginia where he assisted his father with his painting business. He ultimately found a love for driving. He spent time as a driver for Genesis Trucking where he delivered to a number of the 7-Elevens in the DMV area. Most recently, he was a bus driver for Omni-link of Northern Virginia, transporting workers into Washington DC. In his pastime, he enjoyed sports. He loved rooting his favorite football team, The Green Bay Packers. He enjoyed music: Jazz, Hip-Hop, R&B, Soul and especially Funk. Earth, Wind, and Fire “turned [him]out” he once said. He was a patriot and enjoyed learning about United States and world history. He was an avid reader and preferred an old-fashioned print newspaper as opposed to digital media. He appreciated a good movie. Lastly, he loved nothing more than to barbeque on a nice day.
Jeffery is survived by: his two sons, Christopher Wells and Blake Comer, his brothers, Scott(Vernadette)El-Amin, Tariq El-Amin, Aaron El-Amin, as well as a host of family and friends from around the country. He is preceded in death by his brother Lem Wells and his parents, Joan and Nu’man.
