Franklin, Jeffery R.JR (Jeffery R. Franklin) 16, passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, March 1, 2017. He was born on July 22, 2000 in Binghamton, NY. He is survived by his parents, Ernest and Heather Franklin; grandparents, Joel and Connie Brown; aunts: Connie Davis, Denise Cooper, Peggy Dennis and April Frank and their families; many great aunts and uncles; and his loving church family and home school family.JR was a joyful spirit. He loved trains and enjoyed the ride on the Cooperstown-Charlotte Valley Railroad last year. He loved people and embraced everyone, capturing the hearts of everyone he met. JR had a caring nature and enjoyed books. He liked to sort items by color, build things with Legos and enjoyed family game days. A celebration of his life will be held at 1:00pm on Sunday, March 5, 2017 at C.H. Landers Funeral Chapel, 21 Main St. Sidney, NY 13838. In lieu of flowers, in honor of JR's love of trains, please consider donations to the Leatherstocking Railway Historical Society at www.lrhs.com or P.O. Box 681 Oneonta, NY 13820.
