Services will be officiated by Pastor Wally McLaughlin and burial will follow at Newark Memorial Gardens. Family will greet friends from 2-4pm and 6-8pm on Wednesday, October 25, 2017 at the funeral home.Jeff, age 61, of Newark, passed away on Saturday, October 21, 2017. He was born on January 12, 1956 in Newark, OH to Charles and Betty (Seel) Coon.Jeff is survived by his loving wife of 39 years, Kim (Clark) Coon. He also leaves behind his children, Shawn (Katie) Coon, Dustin (Tonya) Coon, and Shannon (Tyler) Blacksten; 4 grandchildren, Porter, Jakob, Piper, and Mason; sisters, Jackie (Mark Huggins) Mason, Vickie (Bob) Marshall, and Debbie (Mike) Hostasa; as well as many nieces, nephews, and friends.Jeff worked at Holophane for 31 years. One of Jeff's favorite hobbies was to play Santa. Jeff brought joy to countless families for over 40 years and helped make the holidays magical.
