Jeff MacDonald, age 59 of Oshkosh, passed away after his second battle with cancer on Tuesday, October 17, 2017 at Mercy Medical Center. He was born on September 24, 1958 the son of Earl and Mary (Lechleiter) MacDonald. Jeff was a Welder for Leach Company for 18 years. He loved hunting, fishing and drag racing his '70 Nova. He had a deep-rooted passion in attending and participating in drag racing with his buddies for the last 30 years. In his spare time he liked to fabricate a multitude of projects, and enjoyed working at the hunting land and cutting trails. Lisa and Jeff spent their quality time together, and she remained devoted until the end. He especially enjoyed spending time with JR in the woods and helping him work on his stock car. He said that his granddaughters, his "little kittens" made his life complete.Jeff is survived by his son, Jeff "JR" (Laura) Jungwirth and their daughters: Reagan and Rowan; his mother, Mary; beloved partner, Lisa Hernandez and her sons: Max Hernandez and Brandon Gonia; one sister, Bonnie (John) Cull, her son: Alex Anderson and his son, Cooper. He is further survived by an uncle, Mike (Nancy) Lechleiter and aunt, Claire Sue Shannon. He is preceded in death by his father, Earl.Friends and family may gather at Konrad-Behlman Funeral Home-Westside, 100 Lake Pointe Drive on Friday, October 20, 2017 from 4:00 pm until 7:00 pm. Private interment will take place at Riverside Cemetery, Oshkosh. In lieu of flowers, please plant a tree in Jeff's name.The family would like to extend a thank you to the ICU and Michael D. Wachtel Cancer Center at Mercy Medical Center and all the staff for the wonderful care that was given to Jeff. Your kindness will never be forgotten.
