Jeffrey Paul Gilmore went peacefully to his home in heaven on Dec. 1, 2016, at the age of 60 after fighting a courageous three-year battle with cancer.Jeff loved his family more than anything and will be missed every day by his wife of 33 years, Faith (Kauffman); his children, Hannah, Adam, Allison and Trey; his parents, James and Martha (Hatch) Gilmore; and his sisters, Debbie Elwood, Pam Fraicola and Missi Kocinski.Jeff was born on May 29, 1956 in Meadville, Pa., but spent most of his life living in Greensburg and DuBois.He owned and ran his own successful business, Land & Mapping Services for 20 years.His children will always remember him as a generous and loving father who encouraged them to pursue Christ and supported them in all their endeavors. He was passionate about sports and spent a majority of his life coaching his own kids and countless others in the DuBois area. Later, he became a PIAA basketball and soccer referee and has always continued to pursue his own love of fishing and being outdoors.Visitation will be held on Sunday, Dec. 4, 2016, from 1-4 p.m. at the Goble-Baronick Funeral Home in DuBois and again on Monday, Dec. 5, 2016, from 9-10 a.m. at the funeral home.A celebration of life service will be held on Monday, Dec. 5, 2016 at 11 a.m. from the DuBois Alliance Church.
