Jenaro Gonzalez was born on October 31, 1986 in Visalia, California. Jenaro passed away peacefully at the City of Hope Hospital in Duarte, CA on February 14, 2020 at the age of 33.
Jenaro is survived by his parents Macario Zavala Gonzalez and Magarita Adriana Bautista, his sister Maria Amezcua and husband Jose, his brothers Reymundo and Macario, his life partner/boyfriend Alvaro Garcia, Jr., his four nieces Samarah, Violet, Keira, Maria Guadalupe and nephew Martin, and his 3 dogs Scarlet, Hologram and Pixar. He also leaves behind his grandparents, aunts, uncles and many cousins.
He grew up and attended schools in Farmersville, CA. Since childhood Jenaro was always adventurous and was one to try new things from different sports to various foods. In school, he was part of the choir, a cheerleader and held the position of Sentinel for the local FFA chapter. Jenaro worked in the restaurant business for 14 years including Applebee's and the Visalia Olive Garden where he developed close friendships and touched so many hearts. At the time of his death he was a Culinary Manager for the Olive Garden in Fresno, CA. A position he absolutely enjoyed. Jenaro loved Disneyland, the 49ers, No Doubt, and dancing, traveling, spending time with friends, family and taking care of his beloved dogs. He was known for being funny, his quick wit, friendliness, compassion and big beautiful smile with his amazing laugh.
