She was the beloved daughter of Richard E. Wallace and Helene J. (Haynes) Wallace. Soon thereafter, the new family moved to Overland Park where Jenny spent her early childhood. She attended Montessori preschool and schools in the Shawnee Mission and Olathe districts. While in the Shawnee Mission District, she was selected for SEEK, a program for gifted students. After graduation from Olathe North High, Jenny took classes at JCCC, where in 1993 she received an AA degree. She later attended the University of Kansas, majoring in journalism. She completed her schooling there in 1995 Jenny possessed many talents. She was a skilled artist, photographer and creative writer. She also loved to read and was a constant patron of libraries in metro Kansas City. She could devour a 300 page novel in a couple of sittings. In 1993, she wrote a short story called "The Telltale Pumpkin." She entered the story in a contest sponsored by the KC Star. She won first place in the adult division. Her article was published in the Star Magazine on Halloween. Jenny also enjoyed a brief stint as a model. She participated in a swimsuit photoshoot that appeared in the April 1994 edition of the College Boulevard News. Jenny was a proud descendant of many colonial families, mostly from Great Britain, who settled along America's eastern shore. She was a direct descendant of Dr. John Woodson, a surgeon, who arrived at Jamestown, VA, in 1619. Another ancestor, Dr. Josiah Bartlett, signed the Declaration of Independence. As many as 23 ancestors either fought in or supported the American Revolution. Others participated in the War of 1812, the Civil War and the world wars of the 20th century. Jenny is survived by her parents, Richard of Overland Park, Helene of Hamilton, OH, sister Elizabeth A. Hartwell (Craig) of Prairie Village, KS, grandfather O. John Haynes, Independence, MO, nine children and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins. RIP dear Jenny. As an old song goes: "We'll meet again, don't know where, don't know when..."
