Hammes, JeromeJerome F. "Jerry" Hammes, 52, Green Bay, passed away after a lengthy illness Thursday, September 21, 2017. He was born on February 19, 1965, in Green Bay to Francis and Ann (Barinotti) Hammes.Jerry graduated from Bay Port High School, Class of 1983. He was employed by Level 3 Communications based in Orlando, FL doing fiber optic installation and was proud of his team. In 1984, Jerry started his own auto repair shop, Jerry's Auto in Suamico.He enjoyed hunting, fishing and boating. Jerry was a driven and determined person with a great sense of humor. In 1997, he married Pamela DePew and they remained friends throughout the years.Jerry is survived by his daughter, Kayla Hammes and her fiancé, Ethen; his son, Ryan Hammes; parents, Fran and Ann Hammes; siblings, James Hammes, Francis (life partner, Carlos Herrera) Hammes Jr., Ann (Dennis) Williquette; his former wife's parents, Bonnie and Ralph DePew; as well as nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.He was preceded in death by his son, Matthew Odea; and grandparents, James and Marion Barinotti, and Jerome and Catherine Hammes.Friends may call at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, 2597 Glendale Ave. (one quarter mile east of the corner of Cardinal Ln. and Glendale Ave.), from 10 a.m. to 12 noon Wednesday, followed by the Mass of Christian Burial at noon with Rev.
