Wixted, JeromeJerome (Jerry) Wixted, 73, formerly of Danbury, Connecticut, passed away on October 21, 2016, in Las Vegas, Nevada, after a brief illness. Jerry was born on November 4, 1943, to Marion and Joseph Wixted. He graduated from St. Peter's School and Danbury High School. Jerry went on to earn a Bachelor of Accounting from Bryant University in Rhode Island. Following his graduation, Jerry served two years in the U.S. Army. Prior to his retirement and move to Las Vegas, he was a Danbury firefighter and active member of the Wooster Hose (Company #5) volunteer fire department. While living in Las Vegas, Jerry enjoyed working as an elementary school crossing guard. Jerry is survived by several nephews and nieces, sisters-in-law, and friends. He was predeceased by his parents; his sister, Michelle Howard; and brothers, Joseph, John, Thomas, and Raymond Wixted. At his request, no service will be held.
