It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Jerry Davis, who was born on April 27, 1953, in Statesboro, Georgia, United States. He passed away on August 13, 2024, after a courageous battle with prostate cancer.

Jerry was the beloved son of William Davis and Belinda Thomas. In 1980, he married the love of his life, Audrey Davis, and together they raised two children, Sherri Davis and Jerry Davis Jr. They were also blessed with twelve adoring grandchildren. 10 girls, 2 boys plus two great grands.

Jerry attended Columbia High School and graduated in 1972. After completing his education, he began his career at Landstar Trucking, where he dedicated himself to hard work and excellence. Jerry eventually retired in 2010, leaving behind a legacy of integrity and professionalism.

Aside from his dedication to his career, Jerry was a loving husband, father, and grandfather. He was known for his kind heart, sense of humor, and unwavering support for his family and friends. Jerry's presence will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him.

While we mourn the loss of Jerry, we take comfort in knowing that he is now at peace. His memory will live on in the hearts of his loved ones forever.
