It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Mr. Jerry Ellington Sr., who left us on October 21, 2024. Born on December 9, 1939, he lived a vibrant and full life.

Jerry was a cherished individual, admired by all those who had the good fortune to know him. His presence was comforting, his laughter infectious, and his advice invaluable. He was the bedrock of his family, providing unwavering support and making countless sacrifices for his loved ones.

He is survived by his ex-wife Annette McCoy and his three sons and only daughter, Jerry Ellington Jr., Eric Ellington, Darrick Ellington and Nicole Brown. All of whom he loved dearly and spoke of often. Despite the challenges life threw at them, they were always on his mind and in his heart. He was immensely proud of his kids and was always eager to express his love for them.

Jerry Sr. was predeceased by his father, Cornis Ellington and mother, Ruth Ellington. He often shared stories of his parents, ensuring that his legacy lived on through him and his children. 

Jerry was a man of integrity and kindness. His generosity knew no bounds, and he always made time for others. His life was a shining example of dedication and love. He leaves to mourn his children, grandchildren, and a host of relatives and friends. May his soul rest in peace, and his legacy continue to inspire those he has left behind.
