It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Jerry Reitman, who left this world on November 5, 2024, in Venice, California. He was born on January 9, 1938, to Benjamin and Ruth Reitman.

Jerry was a devoted husband to Monica, whom he married in 1968. He was an amazing brother, to Sam Reitman and Rita Fox. Together, they raised two wonderful daughters, Jennifer and Sarah Reitman Mirkes. Jerry’s son in law Ryan Mirkes and Jennifer’s partner Dave Smith both had incredible bonds with Jerry.

He attended Abraham Lincoln High School and continued his studies at Penn State University, where he obtained a Bachelor's Degree in Finance. Jerry went on to have a successful career, holding prestigious roles such as CEO of Scali, McCabe, Sloves, International Head and Executive Vice President of Ogilvy, and Executive Vice President of Leo Burnett Worldwide.

Despite his busy career, Jerry always made time to give back to the community. His over 20 years of involvement with Children’s Miracle Network organization, is where he made an impact on the lives of many children in need.

In his free time, Jerry enjoyed woodworking and traveling the world. While Sweden was his TRUE second home where he spent his summers with his wife Monica and her loving and incredible family. His adventurous spirit and zest for life inspired those around him to live fully and embrace new experiences.

Jerry will be remembered for his kindness, generosity, and unwavering love for his family. His legacy will live on through the lives he touched and the memories he created.

Celebration of Life will be held privately for family and friends
