Jerry L. LichtnerZANESVILLE: Jerry L. Lichtner, 81 of Zanesville died at 6:15pm Saturday, September 07, 2013 at Genesis Genesis Morrison House Hospice following a long illness.He was born on December 16, 1931 in Zanesville OH the son of Fredrick W. Lichtner and Margaret Porter Lichtner.Jerry was a member of Faith United Methodist Church, an Air Force Veteran and Retired in 1988 as a supervisor after 38 years of service at Brockway Glass. Jerry was a 60 year Mason with the Lafayette Lodge #79 and was a special deputy under Sheriff Jack Pennybaker. He enjoys fishing, hunting & fixing up houses. He is survived by family includes his wife Patsy L. Downey Lichtner whom he married on July 10, 1954; two children, Marianne (Wayne) France and Patrick D. Lichtner both of Zanesville; grandchildren are Matt Dillon, Brad Dillon, Trent (Jamie) Dillon, Johnathan Lichtner, Alex Lichtner and Marlee Andrews; great granddaughter Harper Dillon; four siblings, Linda (Kern) Lee of Mobile, Al., Delores (Dave) Roberts of Zanesville, Chuck (Ruthie) Lichtner of Zanesville and Deborah (Kevin) Deal of Chandlersville; and many nieces and nephews. Jerry was preceded in death by parents and a brother Fritz Lichtner.Funeral services will be held today at 11:00am, Wednesday, September 11, 2013 at the Bryan & Snider Funeral Home with Pastor Gary Fitzgerald officiating. Burial Military honors conducted by the United States Air Force & our local VFW will conclude at the Greenwood Cemetery , Greenwood Ave. Zanesville.Memorial contributions can be made to the Genesis Hospice & Palliative Care, 713 Forest Ave. Zanesville.
