Jesse A. DiazOxnardJesse A. Diaz, Sr., 77, passed away peacefully on July 3, 2017 at home surrounded by family and loved ones.Jesse was born on May 31, 1940 in Las Cruces, NM. Jesse is preceded in death by his parents Jesus and Katie Diaz; three brothers, Richard, Rudy and Gabriel. Jesse is survived by his wife of 55 years, Gracie Diaz, daughter, Rose Mary Jimenez (Jose), sons, Paul Diaz, Henry Diaz (Minerva), Jesse A. Diaz, Jr., Ruben Diaz (Bec), Ronnie Diaz (Lyn), and is survived by six granddaughters, Virgie Barragan (Steven), Kathleen Jimenez, Melissa Gomez (Vinnie), Vanessa Diaz, Mariah Diaz and Loryn Capili-Diaz; brother, Charlie Diaz (Sharon); and many nieces, nephews and godchildren.A special thank you to the Buena Vista Hospice team, especially Tina, Luz and Sheila, who became part of the family and helped care for Jesse in his final days.The viewing will be on July 12, 2017 from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. with the rosary starting at 7:00 p.m. at Reardon Funeral Home, 511 N A Street, Oxnard, CA. Mass will be held on July 13, 2017 at 10:00 a.m. at Santa Clara Church, 323 S E Street, Oxnard, CA with burial directly thereafter at Santa Clara Cemetery, 2370 N H Street, Oxnard, CA.
