Jesse Daniel Guerra, age 54, of Cedar Rapids, Iowa and formerly of Sioux Rapids, Iowa passed away in Bloomington, Illinois on February 1, 2024. Jesse was born in Rupert, Idaho on August 12, 1969 to Jesus Carlos Guerra and Paula Rene Cannon. He attended Sioux Rapids Rembrandt High School and graduated in 1988.

Jesse is survived by his mother, Paula Cannon, of Story City, brother Joe Cannon( spouse Christine) of Story City, sister Jessica Smith( Guerra) of Tavares, Florida, daughter Riley Guerra ((partner Jordan Baldwin Sr) of West Des Moines, daughter Shelby Guerra ( partner Kevon Davis Sr) of Cedar Rapids. Jesse had 4 grandchildren, Jordan Baldwin Jr, K.J., Kelbeigh, and Khloeigh Davis. Jesse was preceded in death by his father Jesus Guerra and grandmother Lois Carter.

Jesse worked his entire life in the delivery service industry, where he last worked at DHL of Cedar Rapids.

Jesse was an avid online gamer, loved social media, his dog Capone, and spending time with his 4 grandchildren.

Memorial donations may be made in Jesse's name to Critter Crusaders of Cedar Rapids.

A Celebration of Life will be held at the Legion Hall in Sioux Rapids on Friday, June 28 from 4-7pm.
