Humble, kind-hearted, steadfast and honorable are just a few words to describe Jesse Clifton Mattox Jr. Our family, friends and the world suffered a great loss when Jesse was called home to the Lord on April 9, 2022.
Jesse was a big man not just in stature, but personality and he had a huge impact on his family, extended family and the greater community. He had a distinct laugh that would fill a room and he was always smiling and cracking joke.
Jesse's life journey began July 15, 1949 in Wiergate, Tx. He spent his formative years through high school and graduated from Wiergate High School. In 1972 he enlisted in the U.S. Army where he spent a total of 6 years, 10 months and 14 days. He enrolled in the Eastbay skill center and that's where he would find his passion and the love of his life -Willie B.Price. He retired from AT&T formerly known as Southern Bell Compnay after 25 years.
Jesse leaves his loving memories to be cherished by his children Barbara-Anne, Antonette, Sandy, Denise, Rod and Nina; Grandchildren: James, Dario, Niki, Daniele, Koa, Keisha; and was procededed in death by his wife Willie, his parents Jesse Sr. And Maxine, two older brothers Rev.
