We are saddened to announce the passing of Jesus Lara, who left us on November 22, 2024, in Amarillo, Texas. He was born on May 26, 1942, to Joaquin Lara and Margarita Vasquez.

Jesus was a devoted husband to Yolanda Lara, whom he married in 1956. Together, they raised five children: Rafael, Rodolfo, María, Adriana, and Maritza. His family was his pride and joy, and he leaves behind nine beloved grandchildren.

Jesus dedicated many years of his life to serving in the United States Marine Corps, retiring as a Sergeant in 1962. He was passionate about restoring classic cars and spent countless hours in his garage, bringing memories back to life.

Jesus will be remembered for his infectious laughter, kind heart, and unwavering love for his family. He faced his battle with Stage 4 cancer with courage and strength, inspiring all who knew him.

Though Jesus may no longer be with us, his spirit lives on in the memories we shared and the love he gave. May he rest in peace, surrounded by the eternal light of his legacy.
