Jim Lyons was born on September 9th, 1942 to Jim and Cheryl Lyons. He attended San Diego High School. Jim was an excellent student and graduated at the top of his class of 1963.
After graduating, Jim relocated to Texas and began his career at Exxon mobile, where he worked in operations. Over the years, he climbed the ranks and became a well-respected member of the company. Jim took pride in his work and was always willing to lend a helping hand to his colleagues.
In 1954, Jim married the love of his life, Judy. Together they had three children, Tamara, Janice, and Todd. Jim was a devoted husband and father, and his family meant everything to him. He was always there for them, providing love and support in good times and bad.
Jim was also a doting grandfather and had eight grandchildren, whom he cherished deeply. He loved spending time with them and was always eager to hear about their latest achievements.
Jim was diagnosed with cancer, and after a courageous battle, he passed away on May 17th, 2023. It was a great loss for his family, friends, and colleagues, as Jim was loved and respected by all who knew him. His kindness, wisdom, and strong work ethic will be missed, but his legacy will live on.
Jim Lyons was a beloved husband, father, grandfather, and friend. He will be remembered for his warmth, generosity, and unwavering commitment to his loved ones. Rest in peace, Jim.
