Jim Davis, Sr. LUBBOCK-Jim Davis, Sr., 67, of Lubbock, passed away on Saturday, Nov. 26, 2016. He was born on June 22, 1949, in Levelland, Texas, to the late Vernon and Darlene (Rowe) Davis. He married Judy (Jones) on Aug. 8, 1968. Jim served as Vice President of Rojo Distribution. He was a very avid car collector, and was a member of Wolves Car Club. He had a great passion for classic cars, and wood working. Mr. Davis was a proud member of Southcrest Baptist Church in Lubbock. He is preceded in death by his parents, and one brother; Terry Davis. Those left to cherish Jim's memory are his wife, Judy; son, Jimmy Davis and wife, LaDawn; daughter, Sally Elias and husband, Craig; grandchildren, Haley Davis, Lilly Elias, Roger Escobedo, Olivia Escobedo, and great-grandchildren, Audrey and Ava Iglesias. He also leaves behind brother, Tommy Davis; and two sisters, Diane Rachels, and Darla Castle. A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 1 p.m. on Wednesday, Nov. 30, 2016, in Resthaven's Abbey Chapel.
