Jimmie Russell Wisenbaker passed away December 31, 2013. Jimmie was born on July 23, 1938 in Humble, TX. Jim was preceded in death by his parents, Lewis & Wesley Wisenbaker and his brother, Alton Wisenbaker. Jim is survived by his loving wife of 56 years, Charlotte Wisenbaker and son Jeffery Wisenbaker and Maria Lopez, sisters Lillian Street & husband Clayton, Jo Ann Golden and husband Tray, Wanda McAbee and husband Bob, Brenda Arnold and husband Leo and brothers Andrew Wisenbaker and wife Etta, Donald Wisenbaker and wife Carmen, sister-in-laws Nora Wisenbaker, Lyn Wisenbaker and husband Buddy, Nieces Donna Barrett and husband Matthew, Beverly Mitchell & husband Joe, nephew Gregory Wisenbaker and wife Tammy and many numerous nieces, nephews and cousins he loved dearly.
Jim worked at Wilson Supply from 1958-1961. In the summer of 1961, Jim began his service for his country in the U.S. Air Force as a Morse code interceptor operator and served in southern Italy returning to the States in 1963. He was honorably discharged in July 1965 at which time he returned to work with Wilson Supply. After 25 years of dedicated service with Wilson he was offered a great job with Smith International and after 18 years with Smith Int'l, he retired in 1999.
Jim had a wonderful sense of humor and enjoyed laughing and spending time with family and friends. He was a member of Humble Area's First Baptist church where he had been a member since 1955 and served as a deacon for 37 years, he taught Sunday school, was the RA/Scout Leader and was blessed to lead the Life Group for early seniors. On any given Sunday, Jim could also be found rocking those sweet babies in the church nursery. Jim lived his faith in his actions and his words. He was a true servant for the Lord.
