Jo Ann (Butruff) Anderson, 79, died at home Friday, Feb. 17, 2017. Jo Ann was born on July 3, 1937, to Charles and Pearl (Smith) Butruff. She was born, raised and lived in Rochester all of her life, except for a brief two years in Germany. Jo Ann graduated from Rochester High School and went on to marry James D. Anderson in 1955. Jo Ann worked at the Mayo Clinic for 25 years and retired in 1994. She enjoyed being an active member and Scout Leader in Girl Scouts of the USA. Other hobbies and interests that Jo Ann was fond of include: bowling, trap shooting, dancing, music, road/bus trips to new places, class reunion planning, going to Disney World, the Moose, the Eagles and the all important, bingo night! She is survived by three daughters, Barby Anderson of Tampa, Fla., Vicky (James) Clink of Rochester, and Conny (Steve) Harris of Tampa, Fla.; six grandchildren and four great-grandsons. Jo Ann was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; one daughter; one sister and one brother. Visitation will be 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. Wednesday Feb. 22, at Mahn Family Funeral Home, 1624 37th street NW.
