IRVING, TEXAS - Jo Ann Patterson, 72, went home to be with our Heavenly Father February 23, 2017. She fought hard to stay with us but in the end she went peacefully with all of our love. Jo Ann was born on July 18, 1944. She attended Permian High School, and later worked many years in the fashion industry before leaving to do what she truly loved: taking care of children and being a homemaker. Jo Ann loved to go shopping and took "Shop 'til you drop" to a whole new level. She also loved fishing and could sit for hours whether she got a bite or not. She loved cooking. There wasn't much she couldn't make and was always trying new recipes. Jo Ann was a deeply loving mother, grandmother, friend and wife who will be missed. She was preceded in death by her parents, Harold and Edna Armour, and sisters Shelby Carol Janek and Doris Jean Turner. She is survived by her sister Louise Smith, husband Jerry Patterson; daughters Vickie Brown, Liz Omlor and husband Chuck, and Teresa Miller; grandchildren Christopher Sims, Brandon Sims and wife Erika, Bridget Fisher and husband Billy, Amber Colliflower and husband Jeremy, and Jacob Brown; great grandchildren Huttson, Bradon and Wiley Sims, Lane and Cayson Fisher and many nieces and nephews. Visitation will be held from 6-8 pm Monday, February 27, 2017 at Rolling Oaks Funeral Home. Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 pm Tuesday, February 28, 2017, also at the funeral home. Jo Ann will be interred at West Texas Memorial Park in Midland, TX on Saturday, March 4, 2017 at 2:00 pm.
