Joan C. (Pagano) BelfiAGE: 85 • VinelandJoan C. (Pagano) Belfi, 85, of Vineland, NJ, passed away on Monday, March 13, 2017 surrounded by her loving family at her residence at the Baker Place Assisted Living. Joan was born on February 18, 1932 to the late Hugo Pagano and Molly (Luisi) Pagano. She was the loving wife of 58 years to the late Thomas E. Belfi, who died in 2012. Joan was a graduate of Sacred Heart High School where her lifelong devotion to God and the Church began. She married the love of her life, "Tommy," on August 24, 1954 and raised 5 children. Joan worked as a receptionist from time to time but was primarily a wife and homemaker. She loved to bake and crochet and spent many hours reading her bible and sending special passages to those who needed a prayer. Some of Joan's fondest memories are of family camping trips, holidays (especially Christmas), family dinners, many athletic events and the get-togethers that followed. But most of all she loved her summers spent at the shore with her "Tommy" and their many friends at the Seashore Line Park in Seaville, NJ. Joan is survived by her sister, Mary Sparagna; brother-in-law, Angelo Sparagna; sister-in-laws, Ruth Amadei and June Belfi; her daughter, Venessa; her sons, Edward (Carol), John (Bonnie) and Paul; her grandchildren, Christopher (Mandy), Mia, John III (Kerrie), Kayla (Joe), Edward III, Jaimi (Jared), and Aaron, as well as, her 7 great-grandchildren. Joan was predeceased by her son, Thomas Jr.; her sister, Helene Sweet; brother-in-laws, William Sweet, William Belfi, and William Amadei; and son-in-laws, Donald Martinelli, and Matthew Volpe.A Funeral Liturgy will be held on Friday at 11am at Our Lady of the Blessed Sacrament Parish, Our Lady of Victories Church, 202 N.W. Blvd. Landisville. Joan will be laid to rest at Our Lady of Victories Cemetery, Landisville. Family and friends will be received on Friday morning from 9am to 10:45am at the CHURCH.
