Joan Owens, 73, of Ashtabula Harbor, Ohio, passed on March 17, 2023. Joan was born on July 10, 1950. She was born to Turner and Lucille (Konora) Owens in Beaver Center, Pennsylvania and had been a lifetime resident of Ashtabula. Joan graduated from Ashtabula High School Class of 1967.

She was employed as a bartender and over the years worked for the Jefferson Eagles Club and more recently the former Wine Barrell in Geneva.

Joan loved to sing and enjoyed sharing her talents at local nursing homes and churches. She enjoyed a good game of billiards and working on arts and craft projects. Joan also loved a good movie, book or novel about vampires. Above all, she loved spending time with her family.

She is survived by her children, Roy Owens of Virginia, Trish Starr of Ashtabula, and John DelValle of Madison; grandchildren. Paul and Blake Gonzales, Aaron Meeks, Kolton Boudrey, Patrick Owens, and R.J. Owens; and her sister, Donna Warner of London, Ohio.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

A graveside service will be held Sunday, March 19th at 11:00AM at Greenlawn Cemetery, 3140 E Center St, Conneaut, Ohio, where she will be laid to rest next to her parents.

No calling hours will be observed.
