JoAnn BeairdAbilene, TXJoAnn Beaird, 82, passed away on Wednesday, October 26, 2016 in Abilene. There will be no formal funeral services at this time. JoAnn was born on June 24, 1934 in Swenson, TX to the late Guy Willis Southern and Sarah Thelma Holloway. She earned her Bachelor's Degree from Texas Tech University and became a teacher and taught for several years. Preceding her in death were her parents. Survivors include her daughters, Sheri Barrett and husband, Rick, and Tammy Bayer and husband, Rob; her son, Guy Beaird and wife, Sylvie; grandchildren, Randall Barrett and fiance;, Felicia Buck, Daniel Barrett and wife, Priscilla, Bob Beaird and Leti Cruz, Allison Chann and husband, Kenneth, Jr., Ashley McCollum and husband, Mason, and Sephora Makaya; great-grandchildren, Sidney Stinson Barrett, and Kayla, Kayden, and Kylie Barrett; and special friends, Al and Sherry Koltermann.
