Joann E. BosElida: Age 79, passed away on Friday, October 20, 2017 at her home. Joann was born on August 28, 1938, in Oak Harbor, Ohio, to the late Frederick W. Miller and Evelyn I. (Genzman) Miller. On June 13, 1959, she joined John D. Bos in marriage. They formerly resided in Sandusky, Ohio.Joann cherished her family beyond description and savored time spent with them. She was a lifelong devoted fan of the Cleveland Indians, and enjoyed traveling around America. However, she most enjoyed sitting in her recliner by the fireplace with a cup of tea, a cat on her lap, and a good book. She was a member of Mended Hearts, volunteered at WTLW, was a campground host, a dog transport volunteer, and an active member of St. Matthew Lutheran Church.Joann is survived by her husband of 58 years, John; her daughter, Linda (Greg) Miller of Lima; three grandchildren, Kimberly Hefner of Lima, Lauren Miller of Philadelphia, PA, and Kyle (Hannah-fiancee) Miller of West Chester, OH; and one great-grandson, Leo Hefner; siblings William Miller, Sharon (Jim) Rogers, Patsy Miller, and Richard (Cathy) Miller; numerous friends and extended family, and her loyal cats, Momma Marge, Buddy, and Bell. She was also preceded in death by her son, James John Bos, sister in law, Shirley Miller, and parents in law, Henry and Pearl Bos. Sincere gratitude is offered to the loving care extended from St. Rita's Hospice and Home Health, Rite-At-Home caregivers, medical care from The Cleveland Clinic and St. Rita's, and special friends that spent time in visiting with Joann during her illness. The family will receive friends 2-4 and 6-8 p.m., Tuesday, October 24, 2017 at Bayliff & Son Funeral Home, Cridersville and one hour prior to service at the church.A funeral service to celebrate the beauty of Joann's life will be held 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, Oct. 25, 2017 at St. Matthew Lutheran Church with Pastor Sharon Stonerock officiating.In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Deb's Dogs P.O.
