We mourn the passing of Joann Kerrah Bourgeois, who was born on August 8, 1951, and passed away on April 8, 2025 in Hope Mills, North Carolina.

Joann is survived by her loving husband Ronald Bourgeois, her daughter Naurice Lynn Britt, and two cherished grandchildren, John and Whitney Britt. Her memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved her.

Joann moved from Florida to North Carolina in 1974 to be in proximity to the base Ronald was stationed at. There, she became a dedicated nurse who worked tirelessly in the healthcare industry, providing care and compassion to those in need. She retired in 2010 after many years of service.

Joann had a warm and welcoming spirit and enjoyed the little things in life such as spending time with her pets. She lived a life of love, resilience, and generosity, leaving behind a legacy of kindness and cherished memories. She will be deeply missed by her family, friends, and all who had the privilege of knowing her.

Joann’s family will receive friends on Thursday afternoon from 4 - 6 PM. A funeral service will be held on Friday April 11 at 11:00 AM at the Chapel of Jesus in Saint Pauls, NC.
