Joanne Cyr, 68, of Louisville, Kentucky, passed away suddenly on March 19th, 2023. She was born January 23rd, 1955 in Louisville to Angela and Henry Cyr.
Joanne loved the arts, traveling, all animals (but especially cats and horses), dancing, singing, playing her guitar and spending time with her friends and family. She is survived by her brother, David, and her daughter, Rachel.
Joanne graduated from Tamalpais High School in Mill Valley, California in 1972. She traveled Europe after high school and settled in Denver, Colorado, where she met her husband. Together, they moved to California and then on to Oregon, finally returning to his hometown in Ohio to have their daughter. Joanne moved several more times over the years, never quite settling, before returning to Kentucky to care for her ailing mother.
Joanne was a unique and loving soul who always followed her heart. She loved to laugh, and she loved being in the sunshine. She will be greatly missed by so many.

I’m saddened to hear of Joanne’s death and my heart goes out to Rachel and David. I remember so many wonderful times we shared; dancing, laughing, cooking, and talking. She was a funny, beautiful, kind woman who I will never forget.

I will always remember the wonderful trips we took to retreat in Northern California, Lopez Island, Chicago, and the times we spent just hanging out at the lake, and our houses. Joanne always put a smile on my face and I loved spending time with her. She had a loving, kind heart and I will deeply miss her.
