Joanne Joy Lekin June 25, 1950 - Nov. 14, 2016 Joanne Lekin, age 66, of Everett, WA passed away November 14, 2016 after a long battle with ALS. She was born on June 25, 1950 in Everett to Norman and Mabel Sather. Joanne graduated from Lake Stevens High School in 1968. She retired from the City of Everett. Joanne loved to travel and took many wonderful trips with her family and friends. She loved the Beatles and fishing with her brother, Bob. Joanne was preceded in death by her father, Norman; mother, Mabel; stepmother, Bessie Sather; and sister, Judith Johnston. She is survived by her son, James Bowman; and granddaughter, Danique. She also leaves her brother, Robert Sather of Everett; sisters, Karen Farrell, Louise Lewandowski of Marysville, WA; and stepsiblings, Steven Dowen of Cle Elum, WA and Betty Sloan of La Conner, WA; and numerous nieces and nephews. Joanne was dearly loved and will be missed by all her family and friends. A memorial celebration of her life will be held at Evergreen Cemetery, 4504 Broadway, Everett, WA on Saturday, November 26, 2016, viewing at 9:00 a.m. with Service at 10:00 a.m. Reception and graveside service to follow.
