Joe Faye LieberSan AngeloJoe Faye Pate Lieber was born on July 11, 1926 in Comanche County to the late Elvin D. and Mary Evelyn Pate and she passed away on Nov. 7, 2017. She moved to San Angelo at a very young age and she graduated from San Angelo High School in 1943. She married Bill Lieber on Dec. 2, 1943 in San Angelo. After living in Victoria, Texas and Mesa, Arizona during World War II while Bill was serving in the Army Air Corps, they moved back to San Angelo after the war ended. Joe Faye sold Highlights for Children for 17 years, traveling all over west Texas. In 1957, their only child, Candace Kay was born. In the early 1960's, Joe Faye and Bill began a successful painting business and she was Bill's bookkeeper for the company.Bill preceded her in death in 1991 after 47 years of marriage. Joe Faye loved to dance, travel and play "42". She was a member of the First Christian Church of San Angelo. She moved to Lubbock to be near her daughter in 2004.She is survived by her daughter, Candace Cameron and her husband, Robert of Lubbock; and grandson, Kyle Cameron and his wife, Ashley of Huntsville, Texas. Joe Faye is also survived by her sister, Drenna Rosenthal and her husband, Maury of Florida; and sisters in law, Betty Lieber and Beverly Seward of San Angelo plus several nieces, nephews and cousins. She was preceded in death by nephew, Rusty Lieber.In lieu of flowers, please consider sending a memorial to the Suez Transportation Fund, 2915 W.
