Joe was a good friend and neighbor to many, always happy to lend a helping hand or to share the produce from his garden during the summer and the peanut brittle from his kitchen at Christmastime. Late in life, when he was no longer able to work and get around, Joe greatly appreciated it when his friends and neighbors returned the favor.
