Joe Willie Combs was born to the late Lamon and Cartheney Combs on January 31, 1939 in Columbia North Carolina. He departed this life on September 27, 2024 in Rocky Mount, North Carolina. He was a graduate of Tyrrell County High School in 1957. He became a member of Alligator Chapel Baptist Church where he remained until his health failed. Joe leaves to celebrate his life:One Daughter; Margaret Patricia Baker, Newark, NJ; one son, Brian Combs, Newark, NJ; four sister, Mary Grant, Brattleboro,NC; Iris (James) Weeks and Linda (Chris) Jeffries, Raleigh,NC; Hope (Losse) Phillips, Rocky Mount NC; one brother, Phillip Baker Jr., Rocky Mount NC; seven grandchildren: Brian, Kevin ,Lena, Janae, Dorothy,Thomasna, and Rosa; two aunts, one uncle and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. He leaves to cherish his memory Chiara Johnson, Rocky Mount, NC who was just like a daughter to him as well. He also leaves to cherish his memory Marie Reynolds of Rocky Mount who accepted him as a son
