Joel Ballard, born on March 10, 1962, in Greenwood, Mississippi, passed away on June 12, 2024, at the age of 62.

Joel was a dedicated member of the community, having grown up and lived most of his life in Greenwood. He attended Greenwood High School where he excelled academically and participated in various extracurricular activities.

After graduating, Joel enlisted in the Army where he served his country with honor and bravery. He was admired by his fellow soldiers for his dedication and commitment to his duties.

Joel was a loving father to his son, Jovaun Ballard, who meant the world to him. He took great pride in watching Jovaun grow and achieve his own successes in life.

Though Joel is no longer with us, his memory will live on in the hearts of all those who were lucky enough to know him. He will be deeply missed by his family, friends, and all who knew him.
