Joela R. KanterCardington: Joela R. Kanter, age 70 of Cardington died Wednesday, August 23, 2017 at home. She was born on April 19, 1947 to the late Joe and Viola (Stiffler) Winbigler. Joela was an Assistant Manager of ACME in Kenmore, OH. She worked there for 15 years. Joela graduated from Mansfield Senior High School in 1965. She was a member of the Vessel Community Church in Mt. Gilead.Joela loved spending time with her grandkids. They were the joy of her life. She also loved watching Bachelor, Bachelorette, and Bachelor in Paradise. On September 16, 2000 Joela married Jack Kanter in Akron, OH who survives in Cardington.In addition to her husband, Joela is survived by her daughter, Brittney (Kevin) Mullins of Mount Gilead; step-children: Suzie Kanter and Jay Kanter of Akron, OH; 9 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren.The funeral service will be held on Saturday, August 26, 2017 at 2:30 pm at the Vessel Community Church, 5301 US 42, Mount Gilead, OH 43338 with Pastor Galen McLeod officiating.Those wishing to share a memory of Joela or to express a condolence to the Kanter family may do so by visiting www.gompffh.com.
